Today I was challenged as I read a book by Bill Johnson called The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind<\/em>. He’s talking about remembering God’s Word and how it is extremely vital in living the Kingdom life that God has called us to – a life of miracles, healings, and power. He talks about meditation, and how it should not be confused with the world’s view of meditation. The world’s view of meditation is to empty <\/em>your mind of everything, and therefore somehow find your true self. God’s view of meditation is to fill <\/em>your mind with the knowledge of His word and promises. Whether we realize it or not, we are constantly meditating. When the bill that we can’t pay comes, we are either going to meditate on the impossibility, or we’re going to meditate on God’s promise to provide for all our needs. When the medical situation arises, we are either going to meditate on the fear, worry, and sadness, or we will take refuge in the fact that the Bible says, “The punishment, which made us well, was given to him, and we are healed because of his wounds.” (Isaiah 53:5) So basically, what we meditate on becomes truth to us.

Anyways, he goes on to talk about various methods for bringing God’s truth to the forefront of our minds. One of those is writing it down. Habakkuk 2:2 says, “Write the vision and make it <\/em> plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” Bill Johnson explains that he writes so many books, etc to share the revelation that he’s been given, either by others, or thru God’s word. When I read this it really challenges me. It challenges me to write down what I’m learning from God, and to share it with others. I know that I really need to hear what other people are learning about God. Also, it keeps me accountable growing in God and learning new things so that I have something to write about each week. So I’m going to do my best to writing something here each week, mostly on Mondays. Hopefully it will help someone out there. <\/span><\/p>\n
